Kim Scott, the 46 year-old ex-wife of American rapper Eminem attempted suicide about 10 days ago.
Police and emergency workers were called to her Michigan home to restrain her, TMZ reported.
It reported that the incident happened on 30 July, leading to her hospitalisation.
She had medical and psychological evaluation. She is also back home recovering, the report said.
According to TMZ, Kim was restrained by the police and the emergency workers.
She was said to have been ‘combative and violent’, such that that medics were unable to assess her.
The website reported Kim was cut, with ‘several small lacerations on the back of her leg.’
Eminem and Kim were married in 1999 and divorced in 2001, and briefly remarried for a few months in 2006.
They have a daughter together, Hailie Jade.
