The Federal University of Technology Akure has scored 100 percent in the accreditation of courses recently undertaken by the National Universities Commission, NUC.
This was confirmed by the Executive Secretary of the NUC, Professor Abubakar Abdulrasheed on Thursday.
Abdulrasheed told the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Joseph Fuwape, that the exercise was carried out between March and April 2021 as the exercise originally scheduled for 2020 could not hold because of the COVID-19 Global pandemic.
He said the full accreditation earned by FUTA subsists for five years.
The courses fully accredited include the following:
Basic Medical Science
Human anatomy
Physiology
Engineering and Information Technology
Industrial and Communication Technology
Industrial and Production Engineering
Computer Engineering
Environmental Science
Building
Remote Sensing and Geo-Science Information.
Professor Fuwape, however, welcomed the full accreditation, describing it as a validation of the excellence of FUTA faculty members and programmes.
