Nigerian music superstar Wizkid is in line for another MTV Music Video Awards (VMAs) award following the nomination of ‘Brown Skin Girl’ which he sang alongside Beyonce, Blue Ivy, and SAINt JHN.

Wizkid had earned several awards for his collaboration in the song.

He won two Soul Train Music Awards, the BET Awards, a NAACP Image Award and a Grammy Award for Best Video in 2021.

Brown Skin Girl was nominated in two categories for the MTV award, both of which the song may win.

The song was nominated in the Best R&B and Best Cinematography categories, Billboard reported.

For Best R&B category, apart from “Brown Skin Girl,” other songs in the same category are Leave the Door Open” by Bruno Mars, Anderson Paak and Silk Sonic, “Go Crazy” by Chris Brown and Young Thug, “Heartbreak Anniversary” by Giveon, “Come Through” by H.E.R. ft. Chris Brown and “Good Days” by SZA.

For the cinematography, Brown Skin girl is up against Rob Witt in “Therefore I Am” by Malik H. Sayeed, Mohammed Atta Ahmed, Santiago Gonzalez, Ryan Helfant and Billie Eilish, Santiago Gonzalez in Foo Fighters’ “Shame Shame”

Other nominees are Elias Talbot in “Holy” by Justin Bieber ft. Chance The Rapper, Jeff Cronenweth in Lady Gaga’s “911″ and Andrew Stroud in Lorde’s “Solar Power”.
