[Watch] Trailer of 'The Ghost and the Tout too'

Award-winning Nigerian actress and film producer, Toyin Abraham has dropped the second teaser for ‘The Ghost and the Tout too’, her forthcoming movie, featuring Mercy Johnson-Okojie.

In a post on her Instagram page on Thursday, the film producer said the movie, which is a sequel, will premiere in cinemas across the nation from September 10.

“This kind Wahala no Dey finish. Your favourite tout is back and will be taking over cinemas nationwide from September 10th,” she wrote.

Mercy Johnson-Okojie also posted the teaser with the same caption.

‘The Ghost and the Tout’, which was released in 2018,  stars Toyin Abraham and Sambasa Nzeribe in lead roles. The story follows an energetic hustler, Isila, whose life takes a different turn when she encounters a ghost (Mike), who is both surprised and elated she can see him. He has unfinished business on earth and Isila is to help him with it.

At the ghost’s request, she becomes entangled and puzzled in solving a murder mystery as her life takes an interesting turn.

The Ghost and the Tout is directed by Charles Uwagbai and produced by Abraham. The movie was an instant hit—it grossed 30 million Naira in its first week and ended as the fifth highest-grossing Nollywood film of 2018.

The sequel, AMVCA award-winning director Michael ‘Amapsalmist’ Akinrogunde,  will pursue the comic adventures of Isila, the major character in the first movie.

The actress plays lead but stars alongside notable veteran actors including Patience Ozokwo, Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Johnson-Okojie, Odunlade Adekola, Ini Edo, Ali Nuhu and Deyemi Okanlawon. It also stars Osas Ighodaro, Instagram comedienne Anita Asuoha, singer 9ice among others.
