Super Eagles set for Liberia

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn in Group D to face Egypt, Sudan and Guinea Bissau in next year’s African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon.

The Pharaoh of Egypt, the most decorated African countries, having won the Nations Cup tournament seven times, as against three times by Nigeria, will pose serious threat to the Super Eagles

Sudan, the other team in Group D won the nations cup once in 1970, while the last team, Guinea Bissau have never won the tournament.

In the last edition, the Super Eagles beat Tunisia in the third place match to win Bronze.

The draw, which took place in Cameroon on Tuesday evening also saw Cameroon drawn in Group A along with Ethiopia, Cape Verde and Burkina Faso.

Group B  has Malawi, Zimbabwe, Guinea and Senegal, while Comoros, Gabon, Ghana and Morocco are drawn in Group C.

Group E has defending champions, Algeria, Equatorial Guinea, Sierra Leone and Cote D’Ivoire while Group F has Gambia, Mauritania, Mali and Tunisia
