Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette missed Arsenal's Premier League loss at Brentford due to coronavirus

Arsenal have confirmed that captain Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette were both unavailable for last Friday’s match at Brentford because they contracted Covid-19.

Arsenal lost the game by 2 goals to nothing and multiple newspapers reported that the two players had a fallout with manager Mikel Arteta.

However, Arsenal said Aubameyang is now negative on Covid-19 testing and following all protocols for return to play.

The club added that he will return to training and be assessed prior to Sunday’s match against Chelsea.

However, Lacazette is still recovering and will not be available for Sunday’s match.

Willian and Alex Runnarson may also not be available for the match.

Willian also returned a positive test for Covid-19 while backup goalkeeper Alex Runnarson is also currently self-isolating after catching the virus.

Arsenal will also miss the services of Thomas Partey, Gabriel Magalhaes, Eddie Nketiah.
