President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim on the death of his eldest daughter, Aisha (Ya’Ummi).
Ibrahim was a former governor of Yobe State.
The president, in a condolence message by his SSA on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, said it was such a painful thing for a father to bury a child.
He, however, urged the family to accept the will of the Almighty.
President Buhari prayed that Allah would forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant her Aljannah firdaus.
He also prayed for strength for family and friends to bear the irreparable loss.
Aisha Ya’Ummi died 18 August in Cairo hospital after a protracted illness.
She had since been buried in Cairo.
