Petroleum ministry to speak on achieving energy security in Nigeria

The Ministry of Petroleum Resources is set to speak to stakeholders in the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry on how energy security can be achieved in the country.

Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo, the ministry permanent secretary would be speaking at the 2021 Nigeria Oil & Gas outlook event to hold on Monday, 30th August at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The permanent secretary would talk on how the Nigerian Gas market can be strengthened and investment opportunities for private and businesses individuals in Nigeria’s energy industry.

In a press release by eventhive, organizers of the event themed ‘Achieving Energy Security; The Engine for Secured Economic Growth’ thought leaders, operators, regulators and stakeholders in the Oil & Gas value chain would be united at the brainstorming event.

Other key players in Nigeria’s energy ecosystem are also going to be brainstorming on regulatory issues facing operators in the oil & gas sector.

Engineer Saraki Auwal, CEO Department of Petroleum Resources; Patricia Ochogbu President National Association of Petroleum Explorationist (NAPE); and Engr Justice O. Derefaka, Technical adviser Gas Business and Policy Implementation to minister of state on petroleum resources are also billed to speak on issues affecting the oil and gas industry in the country at the event.

Other stakeholders expected at the event are Bolaji Osunsanya, CEO Axxela Group; Ed Ubong, MD Shell Gas/President Nigerian gas association; Habeeb Alebiosu, CEO Viathan Group among others.
