Kylian Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid has been put on hold after talks between the Spanish club and Paris Saint Germain hit a deadlock.
Mbappe has been linked with a £154million move to La Liga and was keen on a new challenge at the Bernabeu.
But with time running out in the transfer window, negotiations between the two European titans have reportedly broken down.
Madrid made a total of three bids for the World Cup-winning Frenchman, who is out of contract in Paris in 2022.
Madrid’s third and final offer of £145million, with £9million in add-ons was also rejected by PSG.
Then Madrid put their feet down: final offer or no deal.
But once again, Paris Saint-Germain called Real Madrid’s bluff.
The implication is that Madrid will wait till next summer to attract the star player to the Spanish capital.
According to reports from French publication Telefoot, talks between the two clubs have now ended.
