The Bauchi State governor has sworn-in a new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barr. Ibrahim Kashim, Chief of Staff Government House, Dr. Aminu Gamawa and his Deputy, Bashir Ya’u.
Twenty-one new commissioners were also sworn in, along with Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, Samaila Burga.
Bauchi State Chief Judge, Justice Talatu Umar, presided over the swearing-in held at the Bauchi Government House annex on Thursday.
Governor Bala Mohammed congratulated the new commissioners.
He said he would soon appoint Special Advisers.
Gov Bala urged the new commissioners to carry politicians along in their activities.
He said they were appointed to represent not only their political party but also their people and their local government.
“As Commissioners, you must find a way of respecting the seniority and protocol of relationship with those people who I consider my bosses.
“Anything short of that, you will cause conflict and you will cause division and rancour,” he warned.
“All the Commissioners we brought are tested technocrats and some of them are politicians, and because they are politicians, they will understand the angle I am talking about”.
Bala thanked the state assembly for supporting his administration in the task of taking the state to the promised land.
He also thanked the entire people of the state.
