Odumosu speaks after mother's death

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu has told officers who came to console over his mother’s death that he would detain them if they tell him sorry.

Alhaja Sikirat Odumosu, mother of the Lagos CP died on Thursday at the age of 88.

Odumosu, who was captured in a video said “My mama don die, I thank God, so when they called and they tell me sorry, I don’t want to hear sorry.

“You  tell me congratulation and not sorry. My mother did not die in poverty, congratulations, if you tell me sorry, I go detain you.

“It is celebration, she reached 88 years, she don even do overtime sef. What I want to tell you is that take care of your parents. I was with my mother yesterday, we were together, I stayed with her, she was praying for me throughout and when I left and after they called me that she has gone.

“So I am happy, I thank God, she knew how I came to the world, she did not bury me, so don’t tell me sorry, congratulation. She celebrated her 88 years in March and she has about 28 great-grand children and I have 12 grand children.”
