An insurgent Lagos All Progressives Congress(APC) group claimed it conducted parallel local government congresses today, with the full backing of the national secretariat.

The group,Lagos4Lagos Movement has Dr. Abdulazeez Adediran as its lead visioner. And its aim is to topple the Tinubu-allied APC from party control.

Adediran on Saturday night congratulated the newly sworn-in ward executives and those elected at the Local Government Congress in Lagos State.

According to him, in line with the mandate from the APC National Secretariat, members of the Lagos4Lagos Movement maintained a sustained consolidation by electing officers who will take charge of the party’s activities in all the 20 LGAs in Lagos State.

This, he said, was devoid of any rancour

“The movement, with this current thrust, has taken over the party’s structure in all the 20 LGAs of Lagos State.”

Adediran explained that members of the Lagos4Lagos Movement’s executives were inaugurated across the 245 wards in Lagos State.

“This has undoubtedly reaffirmed our formidable reach and capacity.

“It also laid to rest the undeniable fact that the party’s administration, even at the grassroot level, is dominated by members of the Lagos4Lagos movement,” he said.

Adediran, in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the movement, Mr Akeem Adeleke, admonished executives to be just and democratic as they take full charge of party’s administration at the grassroots.

The nationwide LG Congress of the ruling party was held in the 20 LGAs of the state.

The visioner, also known as Jandor, expressed firm optimism in the development adding that active democratic participation of all stakeholders was required for the enthronement of government of the people, by the people and for the people.
