Emir of Kajuru Alhassan Adamu : 13 Family members still with kidnappers

Seven abducted family members of Emir of Kajuru, Alhaji Alhassan Adamu have regained their freedom two months after they were abducted.

The victims were released by their abductors Wednesday evening after a ransom was paid for their release.

Back in July, the emir and 12 members of his family were abducted in Kaduna. The emir was whisked away at about 00:30 Hours that Sunday from his palace.

After the abduction, the kidnappers demanded N200 million for the emir’s release and his family member. However, the monarch was released barely 24 hours after the kidnap.

Reports had it that no ransom was paid to secure the emir’s release.

The bandits held 12 members of his family hostage, however, releasing seven of them on Wednesday.

The other 5 are still in captivity. Confirming the release of the victims, a titleholder in the emirate, Dan Iyan Kajuru Saidu Musa, said children and grandchildren of the emir were still in captivity.
