Nuno Espirito named Premier League Manager of the Month

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for August.

The manager made a perfect start to his Spurs tenure after taking over from Jose Mourinho.

Santo kicked things off with a terrific 1-0 win over champions Manchester City on the opening weekend without star player Harry Kane.

The win was followed with successive 1-0 victories over Wolves and Watford, with Tottenham the only Premier League side who still have a 100% winning record this season.

Nuno revealed his delight at receiving the award, paying tribute to his backroom staff during an interview posted on the league’s official website.
