FG to begin roll out of COVID-19 vaccines into churches on Sundays

The Federal Government on Tuesday said it would begin roll out of COVID-19 vaccines into churches on Sundays in this second phase of the exercise.

Dr. Faisal Shuaib, Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, disclosed this during the sensitization of Christian leaders on the second phase of COVID-19 vaccination in Abuja.

Shuaib said he was glad to inform the clerics that included CAN and other key leaders that from this Phase 2 of the COVID-19 vaccine roll out, government was introducing Sunday vaccination.

He said the essence was to ensure that the Christian community who might not have access to the vaccine for whatever reason were given an opportunity to be vaccinated at their worship places.

Shuaib said the feedback from the field was very encouraging.

He thanked Christian leaders who had given the vaccination team access to their churches and their members to receive COVID-19 vaccine during Sunday service.
