Singer-songwriter and record producer Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems has announced her sophomore extended play (EP), titled “If Orange Was A Place”
The 26-year-old singer dropped the 5-track project in the early hours of Wednesday.
“If Orange Was A Place” houses songs like ‘Found’, ‘Replay’, ‘Avoid Things’, and ‘Vibe Out’. The EP also houses the recently released ‘Crazy Tings‘, which dropped last Friday.
Features are kept to a minimum as Tems only enlists U.S. singer Brent Faiyaz to trade vocals on track two, “Found”.
The new project from is a smooth one made up of her smooth vocals and breezy beats from GuiltyBeatz who handles the production from start to finish.
The new project comes on the back of the incredible precedent set by ‘For Broken Ears’, her 7-track debut EP, in 2020.
Tems, recently attracted huge attention for her effort on ‘Essence’, a hit single off ‘Made In Lagos’, Wizkid’s fourth album, which has now gained international acceptance.
On July 12, the song debuted at no 82 on the US Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, becoming the first Nigerian track to achieve the feat. It also became the most searched song on Shazam, a US entertainment app.
The ‘Try Me’ crooner then featured on ‘Fountains’, the 16th track off ‘Certified Lover Boy’, an album by Drake, the popular Canadian singer, which was released September 3.
Certified Lover Boy album also topped the UK Albums Chart last week.
Meanwhile, Tems has announced her first-ever US tour tagged “VIBE SZN🇺🇸” which will see her touring six states.
