The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has opened up on the collapse of its chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa on Thursday in Abuja.
Bawa reportedly slumped at a programme at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday.

The 41-year-old was giving his goodwill message at the National Identity Day celebration when he suddenly collapsed.

He was hastily rushed back to his seat by other attendees and later moved out to an undisclosed hospital.

However, the EFCC, in a statement said Bawa fell unwell and returned to his seat at the programme.
The commission said their boss is hale and hearty.
The statement reads: “Bawa Is Hale and Hearty – EFCC
“The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa is hale and hearty.
“This clarification became necessary following an incident today September 16, 2021 at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he was giving a goodwill message to the National Identity Day celebration, felt unwell and had to return to his seat.
“He has since received medical attention and is due back at his desk.”
