Fourteen states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), announced 513 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, taking the total confirmed infections to 202,704.
Tuesday’s daily cases report marked an increase over the 393 cases reported on Monday.
Figures released by the NCDC showed that lagos state led the chart with 132 news cases. The state recorded 86 cases Monday.
The FCT got 80, Rivers 70, Kaduna 43 and Edo 40.
Till date, out of the 202,704 confirmed cases, 190,370 cases have been discharged and 2,664 deaths recorded.
Three new deaths were recorded on Tuesday.
One of the high profile deaths on Sunday was Obadiah Mailafia, the former CBN deputy governor, who died at Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital in Abuja.
The NCDC said the country had tested 2,997,060 samples from its roughly 200 million population.
