Prophetess Lovely-Worleru jailed for life dies after three days in Rivers prison

Prophetess Edina Lovely- Worleru convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment by the State High Court in Port Harcourt has died three days after at the Port Harcourt Correctional Centre while serving her jail term.

Lovely-Worleru, who was a prophetess with a spiritual Church in Rumuche community in Emohua Local Government Area of the state was reported to have prepared a poisonous substance in the name of love portion for Onyema Bright-Worlu to administer on her man-friend, late Isreal Georgewill who was a Prophet in another spiritual Church within the community.

The state prosecution council, Chidi Ekeh who disclosed this in an interview with our Correspondent said she died last week Saturday following a brief illness.

Ekeh said remains of Late Edina Lovely Worleru is still the property of the federal government despite been dead and may not be released to her family.

Meanwhile, the management of Port Harcourt Correctional centre has confirmed death of the prophetess.

Spokesman of Port Harcourt Correctional Centre, Juliet Ofoni, has confirmed the death of Prophetess Edina Loverly-Worleru who was sentenced to life imprisonment for causing the death of one Israel Georgewill in 2012.

Ofoni who confirmed the death to our correspondent said the inmate died after a brief illness.

Ofoni said all relevant authorities would be informed about the death.
