Senator Stella Oduah, representing Anambra North Senatorial Zone has promised to deliver her domain to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the coming governorship election in the state.

The Senator made the pledge while speaking at the APC leaders and stakeholders meeting in Awka.

She pledged to work to ensure the victory of her party as she noted no person or party can stop the APC in Anambra.

It would be recalled that Senator Stella Oduah jumped ship to the APC from the PDP a month ago.

While speaking at the APC leader meeting in Awka through Princess Nwaka Ononuju, Senator Oduah said she would deploy all in her Arsenal to ensure APC’s victory in Anambra north.

She noted that the contest is a serious one for her as she has immense respect and confidence in the ability of Senator Andy Uba to turn and position Anambra to a state every ‘Anambrarian’ can be proud of.

“That said, I am making a personal commitment to ensure victory for our great party and the work has already begun, in the way and manner our various support groups, NGOs and teeming supporters spread across the length and breadth of Anambra North have already been deployed in a massive polling unit to polling unit campaign drive.”

The Senator who spoke about her defection described it as a well thought out move, which had the best interests of Anambra State as paramount.

“For too long, Anambra has been unfortunate to have political parties at the helm of its affairs that are alien to governments at the centre, which invariably meant that the dividends of democracy that should accrue to it, have not really trickled down as they should.

“We have been too disconnected from the centre, to the point where everything we ever got were either through the personal efforts of individuals like Senator Andy Uba, our party candidate, or an almost slavish arrangement that meant we had to go cap in hand(begging).”

Oduah urged aggrieved party members to close their ranks noting that by November 6, APC will emerge victorious.
