IGP Alkali nominates CSP Amaraizu to NISCN board

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali, has nominated CSP Ebere Amaraizu to represent Nigeria Police on the board of the National Industrial Safety Council of Nigeria (NISCN).

NISCN is an agency of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Mr Onuora Aninwobodo, Media Officer of Police Campaign against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), made this known in Enugu.

CSP Amaraizu is the National Coordinator of POCACOV and former spokesman of the Nigeria Police in Enugu State.

IGP’s candidate, Amaraizu will be sworn in along with other newly elected national executives on 7 October in Abuja.

The council was established in 1964 through the sponsorship of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.

It’s purpose is to ensure for the prevention of industrial accidents, promotion of occupational safety and health in workplaces.

It also aims to promote peaceful coexistence, productivity and growth of the national economy.
