How suspected fraudsters swindled Dr. Bello £1m for 'spiritual cleansing'

Two suspects, Enesi Ohinoyi, 43 and Ayuba Adeiza, 33 have been remanded by Lokoja Chief Magistrate Court, for allegedly aiding, abetting and harbouring jailbreak suspects who escaped from Kabba Custodian Centre.

The escapees have been rearrested and sent back to jail.

The Suspects were said to have conspired between themselves to commit an illegal act, by screening an offender and convict, Olusegun Onimisi Otaru to escape from Kabba Custodian Centre of Nigerian Correctional Services during the last September attack.

While arraigning the suspects before the Chief Magistrate Court in Lokoja on Wednesday, the counsel to DSS urged the court through an application to remand the suspects to enable the security operatives to complete their investigation.

The Counsel explained that the application is under sections 291 and 292 of Administration of Criminal Justice of Kogi State, urged the magistrate to remand, Enesi Ohinoyi and Ayuba Adeiza for their involvement in connection with September Attack on Kabba Custodian Centre for harbouring Otaru who was serving a death sentence.

He stated that the operatives Department of State Security Service and other Security agents had on intelligence report arrested the two suspects, while the convict has since been returned to Kabba Custodian Centre of Nigeria Correctional Services.

The convict had been tried for a culpable homicide case and was sentenced to death.

The Chief Magistrate, A. A Umar in his ruling granted the application, stating that having perused the application and the 14 paragraph affidavit, the prayers ought to be granted. Consequently, he remanded the two suspects in Nigeria Correctional Centre for 14 days and adjourned the case till 20 October for a hearing.
