An 18 year-old Timothy George Simpkins has been declared wanted by the police in connection with the shooting Wednesday morning at a Texas high school.
Four people were injured in the gunfire that erupted at Timberview High School in Arlington, when Simpkins drew a weapon during an altercation with another student at 9.15 a.m .
Assistant Police Chief Kevin Kolbye said Simpkins fled the scene and is believed to be in a 2018 Dodge Charger.
“This is a person who is considered armed and dangerous,” Kolbye said.
Police said one of the victims suffered minor injuries and refused care, while the three others were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Among the injured were an older individual who “may have been a teacher” and a pregnant woman who fell during the incident.
Mansfield Independent School District said the 1,900-student school was placed on lockdown until authorities gave the “all clear” around 11 a.m. local time.
