Italian club, Inter Milan have expressed interest in Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette as the Frenchman prepares to leave the Gunners in the coming months.
Lacazette is in the final year of his Arsenal contract and has been left out in the cold by Mikel Arteta in the Premier League.
The Frenchman is yet to start a league match this season. He wasn’t involved at all in successive wins over Norwich, Burnley and Tottenham last month.
Speculation has it that the striker would either leave Arsenal in January or as a free agent in the summer.
There has not been any concrete update as regard his contract renewal in Arsenal.
Local report in Italy, Gazzetta dello Sport writes that Inter are looking to strengthen in January. Lacazette is said to be one of the options they are considering, with a free transfer in summer also of appeal.
Inter invested heavily in 2019 and 2020 to build a team for Antonio Conte to deliver a long-overdue Serie A title, but spending has had to be much more careful this year.
One of the priorities for Inter is to offload former Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean’s annual salary is an estimated €7m but he has hardly featured so far this season after falling down the pecking order since the arrival of new coach Simone Inzaghi.
