Ayodele Fayose and Bola Tinubu in Lagos

Former Governor of Ekiti State and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ayodele Fayose has visited Bola Ahmed Tinubu upon his return to Nigeria.

Fayose visited the APC chieftain on Tuesday at his Bourdillon Ikoyi residence, to wish him well.

Tinubu who returned to Nigeria on Friday, had a knee surgery in London.

Before he returned to Nigeria, many politicians including President Muhammadu Buhari visited him in London.

“Today, I was at Bourdillon to wish Asiwaju Bola Tinubu soonest recovery. Health issues know no political party and in this part of the world, we seldom celebrate people when they are alive.

“Rather, we like to sign condolence registers. To me, that is not the best way to live”, Fayose wrote on Twitter after his visit.

““Most importantly, politics should be about love for each other.

“Therefore, like other leaders in Nigeria, I wish Asiwaju sound and robust health”, he said.

For those who may be reading political meanings to the visit, Fayose sent a message to them:

“And to those negative political analysts, this visit notwithstanding, I remain an unrepentant PDP leader and key stakeholder.”
