The Lagos State Government has released the diversion plan for a duration of four months commencing from Monday, 18th of October, 2021, in which reconstruction work will begin on the Apapa/Oworonshoki expressway.

The reconstruction is being done by the Federal Ministry of Works.

Explaining the diversion plan for the duration of the project, the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde stated that during the Asphalting process for both lanes of the road, a section of the chosen lane for construction (inbound or outbound) will be left free for motorists to utilize which will minimize inconveniences, adding that the State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) will be on ground to coordinate movement.
