While many companies are still reeling from the massive impact of the global lockdown occasioned by the Coronavirus pandemic, some are getting back to shape and looking like they have put the episode behind them.
One of such companies in Nigeria is Rooomxix, a fashion brand with special emphasis on streetwear fashion run by an Osun State native named Adeyefa Olugbenga Peter.
According to the Chief Executive Officer, Rooomxix is having a swell 2021 after the disruptions that characterized 2020.
“There are so many major achievements for the brand and me as an entrepreneur. First of which is being able to secure and maximize the major investment obtained recently for our nationwide expansion which was concluded in October 2021,” he stated.
“We currently have 3 physical stores and a fully functional website for our business operations. Other achievements include being a major player in taking streetwear from the underground to the mainstream of the fashion scene within the Nigerian fashion industry and we have even had international recognition from a reputable global fashion institution called thebusinessoffashion (BOF).
“Amongst others is the brand being able to work with top notable public figures and influncers in the entertainment and fashion industry. We also aired our world class commercial advertisement on the biggest reality TV show in Africa, Big Brother Naija Season 6,” he added.
Adeyefa said the robust year Rooomxix is enjoying came down to the marketing methods the company has been able to embrace and deploy to near perfection.
“We didn’t go the normal route most businesses we compete with would use , instead we went an abstract route of creating partnerships with style conscious public figures in our industry whose style fits the brand identity and direction and have them represent the brand on their various platforms. Aside from this , we made it a mission to have the best in store customer experience .
Our stores are one of the biggest and if not the biggest and most aesthetic fashion store within the states they operate and they are located in a premium environment within the States. We also offer top notch quality fashion pieces with appealing variations to match the needs of our target audience at affordable prices . And to add to this, we have a fully functional website for our customers who can’t visit the stores and would prefer to shop online with fast and very low cost delivery rates,” he said.
Rooomxix, formerly known as Rooom19 has been in existence since 2018 when a partnership agreement was signed between Gbenga Adeyefa and Fejiro Hanu Agbodje. The relationship between the two parties started off as a customer-seller relationship.
Fejiro Hanu Agbodje. decided to invest in the business and that was how Rooom19 began, along the years Rooom19 saw it needed a special creative to join the team to create and lead the brand in a pure creative approach , given the fact that it’s a fashion brand and Fortune Spurgeon joined the team in 2019 and added his creative expertise to the business , and the first change made was changing the brand from Rooom19 to Rooomxix .
