Kwara Police Command on Monday warned the youths and organisers of the proposed EndSARS memorial protest in the state to shelve the idea.

CP Amienbo Assayomo stated that the command will not accept any breakdown of law and order in the state.

“For now, the situation in the state is not conducive for any procession, considering the security situation and the recent cultist’s activities.

“It has heightened tension in the minds of some members of the public. Therefore, it can not be reasonable to allow any protest or procession.

“The ugly incidents of the 2020 Endsars protest, where people’s lives and valuable government properties were viciously destroyed, is still fresh in our memories,” the statement added.

He, therefore, advised parents and guardians to call their children and wards to order.
