The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has condemned the killings of two monarchs in Imo State and denied being behind the attack.

Instead, it said hoodlums being sponsored by politicians in the state were behind the attack.

IPOB said it is worrisome that killings and other criminal acts perpetrated in the South East were blamed on its security arm Eastern Security network (ESN).

The secessionist group said all these in a statement by Emma Powerful, IPOB Director of Media and Publicity on Thursday.

“It’s unfortunate that uninformed and gullible citizens in Imo state will tomorrow begin to blame these killings to IPOB.

“IPOB has no issue with these dead Ezes because they are the custodians of our land,”Powerful said.
