The Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Mr Dayo Abiodun, disclosed this while declaring open a training organised by the Bureau of Information Technology (BIT), in commemoration of the 2021 Digital Nigeria Day.

Abiodun said the training was in three parts, to develop secondary school leavers who are seeking admission on a career pathway, to help job seekers on how to be managers of the digital economy, as well as welcome ideas from young innovators which would help the State government in achieving its set goals on the digital economy.

He, however, charged the participants to proactively identify opportunities, stimulate innovations and proffer solutions to enhance the digital economy of the country and become digital entrepreneurs, in order to reduce unemployment among graduates.

The Director, Information Technology (IT), Mrs. Olatundun Adekunle while delivering her welcome speech said that the training is an opportunity for participants to acquire more knowledge and showcase new innovations that would boost the digital economy of the State.

She disclosed that the government would pick the best among the participants, encourage them financially and recommend to the public, private and international sectors that need their services.
