2023: Youth group declares support for Yahaya Bello

The Forum of 36 States and FCT Chairmen of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has declared total support for the presidential ambition of Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi.

The Forum’s Chairman, Malam Idris Ojoko, made the declaration, at a news conference on Friday in Keffi, Nasarawa State.

Ojoko is also the Chairman of the Nasarawa State Chapter of NYCN.

He explained that the endorsement of Gov. Bello was in recognition and appreciation of his exemplary leadership, record breaking performances and continuous efforts to establish unity, peace and progress in the country.

Ojoko disclosed that the the forum in collaboration with the Kogi State chapter of NYCN recently embarked on familiarisation tour a across the country with the aim of soliciting support towards the realisation of the “Youth O’clock Agenda in Nigeria come 2023.”

He said the forum resolution to support the Gov. Bello presidential ambition was an indication that the Nigerian youth are ready for the Youth O’clock Agenda in the country.

“Ahead of 2023 General Elections, We have unanimously decided to declare our total support to the presidential ambition of the Youthful Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

“We call on other well-meaning Nigerians to join hands with us in making the project a reality,” the youth leader said.

Ojoko revealed that the forum would organise a programme that would identify and award some notable young political office holders that have performed very well in the country.

He added that the programme was in commemoration of the 2021 2nd National and African Youth Day celebration as declared by President Muhammadu Buhari.

“The programme will start from Nov. 8 and Nov 9, in Abuja and will feature National Prayer, Road Walk, Award Night as well as World Press Conference which will produce a resolution to form a Communique.
