Ed Sheeran contracts Covid-19, cancels shows, interviews

British music star, Ed Sheeran has revealed that he tested positive for Covid-19 and would be canceling his shows.

However, he said he would continue to give planned interviews from home.

“Hey guys. A quick note to tell you that I’ve sadly tested positive for Covid. So I’m now self-isolating and following government guidelines, he wrote.

“It means that I’m now unable to plow ahead with any in-person commitments for now, so I’ll be doing as many of my planned interviews/performances as I can from my house.

“Apologies to anyone I’ve let down. Be safe everyone.”

Ed Sheeran performed last week in London as part of the inaugural Earthshot Prize awards, hosted by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge alongside Nigerian musician Yemi Alade.

Also, his new album, titled =, is due to be released on Friday.
