Gunmen attack C&S church in Ogun, abduct 3 worshippers

Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen invaded a Cherubim and Seraphim Church, along with Railway Station, Obada-Oko, in the Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State on Sunday.

However, three worshippers were abducted from the church.

The three kidnapped worshippers were identified as Ifeoluwa Alani-Bello, Adebare Oduntan, and Mary Oliyide.

The abductors have gotten in touch with the family of the victims and demanded a ransom of N6m for all three kidnap victims.

Abimbola Oyeyemi, Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer said the command has already dispatched its anti-kidnapping unit to work with the Obada Oko division of the police to rescue the victims.

He warned religious bodies against holding vigil or prayer sessions in isolated areas that would make their members vulnerable to kidnapping.
