Olagunsoye Oyinlola, former governor of Osun State who lost becoming the Deputy National chairman of the People’s Democratic Party has congratulated the eventual winner of the election, Ambassador Taofik Arapaja.
Oyinlola in a statement on Sunday said he had sent a private message to Arapaja congratulating him on his victory and wished him a successful tenure.
The former Osun governor said Arapaja has acknowledged the message.
He also congratulated all the newly elected national officers of the PDP and promised to strengthen support for the party.
In his message to all the newly elected executives, Oyinlola said the success of the national convention of the party was a good omen for Nigeria and Nigerians.
He also expressed confidence that the party was in very good hands.
Oyinlola thanked the founding fathers of PDP, other leaders of the party and his supporters for all love and support during the contest.
He lauded the PDP governor forum for holding the forte of the party while promising that he would continue to play his role as a leader and strengthen his support for the PDP and its organs.
