Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has expressed his readiness to complete and toll the 32-kilometre Ijoko-Alagbole-Akute Road.
Former Governor Ibikunle Amosun started but could not complete it before leaving office.
Abiodun revealed this recently at a virtual Town hall meeting on the 2022-2024 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and 2022 Budget for Ogun Central Senatorial District. This was held at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
According to Abiodun: “We will reconstruct the road and put a toll gate. We have to have a kind of sinking fund for the upkeep and maintenance. We will invest in the construction that is meaningful.
“That particular road is very long, about 32 kilometres. And the road is close to highly built-up areas with so many exits”, he said.
