Ansu Fati saves Barcelona against Dynamo Kyiv, wins Man of the Match.

Speaking after a game in which his goal made a vital difference, Barcelona forward Ansu Fati has dedicated the victory over Dynamo Kyiv to Sergio Aguero.

Aguero suffered a worrying setback at the weekend and the teenager dedicated his goal to his veteran teammate. The youngster performed Aguero’s trademark celebration after netting against Dynamo in tribute to the Argentine.

“That was for Kun [Aguero], for what he’s been through the past week,” said Fati.

“He’s a player who gives us a lot. He’s going to be out for a while.

“This victory is for him and we hope he recovers soon.”

Fati also warned that there is a long way to go this season and that no one should count the Catalans out just yet.

“We know we have to improve and work [in order] to do that, the Champions League is very difficult and we have to be ready, the same goes for LaLiga Santander,” said Ansu Fati.

“Everything is proving difficult for us but we need to look ahead.

“Last year we almost won the league. It’s a long season and I think there’s time for everything.”

The victory, courtesy of Fati’s goal, means Barcelona’s Champions League destiny is in their own hands and he knows the importance of that.

“It was a good win, we’re very happy, we’re going to keep fighting,” said Fati.

“It’s in our own hands. We’ve got to play Benfica and Bayern and we’ll give it everything.”
