The Lagos State Parastatals Monitoring Office (PMO) has begun a working visit to various parastatals and agencies.

This is in a bid to fulfill its core mandate of ensuring that Parastatals of the state government are managed and run in tandem with administrative guidelines.

Afolabi Ayantayo, Special Adviser to the Governor, PMO, speaking at the State Women Development Centre (WDC), Agege, noted that the aim of the tour scheduled to end on 26th January, 2022, was to have an in-depth understanding of the modus operandi of various agencies such as their achievements, as well as deliberate on the challenges which hinder effective and efficient service delivery to Lagosians.

He described Parastatals as the servicing ends of the government, which could be likened to foot soldiers in a military formation.

“Therefore, the Parastatals Monitoring Office offers support and monitors the Agencies to ensure they fulfil their core mandates, which are geared towards the actualisation of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S. Agenda,” he said.
