FUGA appoints Mamuda as registrar, Mohammed Ali as bursar

The Governing Council of the Federal University Gashua (FUGA), Yobe, has appointed Dr Abubakar Mamuda, as the new Registrar of the university.

The Council also appointed other principal officers to fill the vacancies in the school.

Malam Adamu Saleh, Head of Information and Protocol Unit said those appointed include Mohammed Ahmed Ali, Bursar and Dr Adam Saleh as Librarian.

Engr. Ahmed Adamu Janga was appointed Director, Works and Physical planning.

The statement said that all the appointments would take effect from the date the appointees assumed duties.

According to Saleh, each of the appointees will serve for one-term tenure of five years.

The statement quoted the Acting Registrar of the Institution, Malam Juji, as saying that the appointments followed consideration of the report and recommendations of the institution’s Joint Council/Senate Selection Board at the Council’s Extra-Ordinary Meeting held on Thursday Nov. 11, 2021.

“The Council’s approval of the appointments was in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Chapter 9 (1) of the University Establishment Act, 2020.”
