100 days: How Moyosore Ogunlewe fared on his promises to people of Kosofe

Mr Moyosore Ogunlewe, the Chairman Kosofe Local Government area in Lagos State, has said that his administration has been able to affect the lives of the people of the council positively within 100 days in office.

Ogunlewe, who spoke during the celebration of his 100 days in office at the council Secretariat, on Thursday said that prioritising the welfare of the people was important for any government’s success.

According to him, his government was able to purchase four revenue buses for area offices within the local council.

The chairman said that his administration purchased aluta jet bus for the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) to aid their services.

“We purchased Ambulance for efficient service for all Health Centres in Kosode Local Government.

“We purchased new legislators’ bus for the smooth running of administrative work and we have newly purchased dispatch motorcycles for service deliveries,” he said.

The council boss in his remarks also reeled out other construction projects, drainage systems and about 20 road projects in areas such as Abioye Street, Mende, Awanatu Street, Araromi Street, Adebayo Mokuolu Street among others.

He thanked members of the party for their support over the years and promised to continue giving the people dividends of democracy all through his four-year tenure.

“We are also constructing customary court and administrative office, we are renovating and upgrading office of the Executive Chairman and some offices within the local government headquarters.

“We are constructing a health centre in Oworo and we have distributed 150 GCE forms,” he said.

Mrs Yetunde Arobieke, the Lagos Commissioner for Employment and Wealth Creation, also commended Ogunlewe, who she said was a good representative of the youths.

The commissioner said that the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu gave the people good products, enjoined the residents to support the chairman in his endeavours.

“Don’t stop what you are doing, just continue, grassroots is very key and important. I thank the Federal Government for what they are doing for the local governments,” she said

Mr Rotimi Agunsoye, a Member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, said that what Ogunlewe did in 100 days was unprecedented in the council.

“He had been able to deliver so many projects and he is proof that our “Not Too Young To Run” law is effective.

“The chairman of Kosofe Local Government has done well and I will support him with two motorcycles to be used for dispatch riding,” he said.

Alhaji Kehinde Bello, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kosofe LG, said in his message that Ogunlewe has started well and urged the residents to continue supporting him to succeed more.
