Terrorists on the prowl in Zamfara have raided Tungar Ruwa village, killing at least nine people, looting food and rustling cows.

Zamfara State Police Command, Mohammed Shehu told Channels TV that the terrorists also burgled shops.

The gun-toting terrorists, riding on motor cycles, invaded the village in Anka LGA on Wednesday night, but the havoc they committed was only known on Friday because of the telecom blackout.

The police spokesperson said the tactical operatives have been deployed to the area to go after the perpetrators and to forestall further attacks.

The latest attack followed two other recent attacks.
