The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 61 Covid-19 cases Thursday, with no related deaths.

The new infections jacked cumulative cases to 213,464, with 206,292 discharged.

The 61 infections marked a  decline from 82 reported on Wednesday.

Nine states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) logged the 61 cases, NCDC said.

Gombe State  topped the chart with 16 cases, closely followed by Taraba with 15 and Zamfara  with 14 cases.

The FCT Abuja reported seven infections.

Three states, Kano, Lagos and Rivers reported two cases each, while  Bauchi, Delta and Katsina states  reported one case each.

The centre said the country has 4,199 active cases, while 3,440,172 blood samples had been tested since the pandemic began across the country on Feb. 27, 2020.
