Babatunde Omidina aka Baba Suwe

Nollywood stars have started paying tribute to veteran Yoruba actor, Babatunde Omidina aka Baba Suwe, who passed away on Monday.

His death was announced by one of his sons, Adesola Omidina.

However, some of Baba Suwe’s colleagues, who took to their social media accounts to react to the news include Yewande Adekoya, Sola Kosoko, Muka Ray, and Sunny Alli.

Yewande Adekoya Abiodun wrote: “Rest In peace legend.”

For Sola Kosoko- Abina, one of the daughters of veteran actor Jide Kosoko, it’s a piece of sad news.

She wrote, “Oh my God, rest in peace.”

Sunny Alli, a member of the Odunfa Caucus, who worked closely with the late Baba Suwe in his prime wrote: “Innalillahi waina illaehi rojiun …RIP Baba suwe.”

Yomi Fabiyi, one of the proteges of late Omidina, couldn’t hide his sadness.

While his phones have remained busy, he shared candlelight and emojis of weeping on his Instagram account.

Lola Idije on her part wrote: “May your soul rest in peace BABA SUWE.”
