Former Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has turned down the approaches by Manchester United, saying he is simply not interested in going to Old Trafford at this point.

According to a BBC Sports report, Zidane is instead focussed on landing the coaching job at Paris Saint Germain or the French national team, when available.

Zidane’s stance triggered titillating conjectures on Twitter Monday on the possibility of PSG landing Zidane and Manchester United grabbing Mauricio Pochettino, now in charge of PSG.

Reports said Mauricio Pochettino is open to being appointed as Man United Coach and he is the first choice of legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The man who caused all the permutations was Ole Gunnar Soskjaer, who was sacked by United on Sunday.

The Man United board asked the management to get Zidane, but with Zidane not so keen and his wife objecting to leaving France, United opted to hire an interim manager, who will take over from Michael Carrick .
