Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Mohamed Salah, Lionel Messi and Kevin de Bruyne are among the 11 players shortlisted for the Best FIFA Men’s Player.
Chelsea duo Jorginho and N’Golo Kante complete the Premier League contingent on the list for the accolade, which will be awarded on January 17 next year.
Other players in the shortlist are Erling Haaland, Jorginho
N’Golo Kanté, Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappé and Neymar.
FIFA also announced the shortlist for Best FIFA women’s player, in which Nigeria and Barcelona striker Asisat Oshoala is conspicuously missing.
The shortlists for Best FIFA goalkeeper, men and women and Best FIFA coach, also for men and women were also unveiled on Monday.
Public voting is open on FIFA.com and will run until 23:59 CET on 10 December 2021.
FIFA will announce the three finalists in each of the seven categories listed above in early January 2022.
