Gov. Uzodimma

Four professors and two lawyers will be in the reconstituted cabinet of Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State in the next few days.

The professors, Duru Emmanuel Chukwuma, Ifunanya Okorodudu, C.O. Nwosu and Kenneth Amaeshi, were among the 17 commissioner nominess sent to the state assembly on Monday.

One of them, Amaeshi has been designated as a special adviser on the economy.

Advisers are usually not screened by the legislature. They are appointed at the discretion of the executive.

It was thus unclear why Uzodimma included Amaeshi’s name, along with 16 other nominees.

Uzodimma reconstituted his Cabinet barely six months ago.

He did not say why he is jettisoning the team .

In the letter to the assembly speaker, Kennedy Ibe, Uzodimma asked that the nominees be screened and confirmed..

The letter was read at the special plenary of the assembly on Monday.

The full nominees are:

PROF. DURU EMMANUEL JOSEPH CHUKWUMA

DR. PROSPER OHAYAGHA SUCCESS OBINNA CHINONS0
