Top Italian football club Juventus is being investigated by the Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Investigators were sent to Juventus’ headquarters to investigate allegations of financial mismanagement by the Bianconeri.
Police raided offices in Turin and Milan and seized plenty of paperwork relating to transfers, invoices and various other financial documents, with transfer profits and agents fees between 2019 and 2021.
Local report reveals that six executives at the club are being looked into, including president Andrea Agnelli, deputy Pavel Nedved and former director Fabio Paratici, who left in the summer to join Tottenham Hotspur.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, things have stepped up drastically and 42 transfers are now under intense scrutiny, with deals for Danilo, Joao Cancelo, Cristian Romero and Merih Demiral four of many others being investigated.
The players themselves have not been accused of any wrongdoing.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract is also being looked into.
Again, the Portugal international is not believed to have done anything wrong.
But Juventus’ way of financing payments to the striker has raised suspicion.
