ActionAid Nigeria has donated a wheelchair to Damilola, wife of the Kogi State correspondent of Vanguard correspodent, Boluwaji Obahopo, who was recently involved in a ghastly motor accident.

Mrs. Obahopo who recently went through a 10 – hour successful surgery at the Alliance Hospital Abuja, is presently recuperating.

But she needs a wheelchair to undergo physiotherapy to enable her get back on her feet.

Speaking after presenting the wheelchair, Mr. Anicetus Atakpu, Resilience Programme Coordinator with ActionAid, Team Lead of the SARVE 11 Project, said the donation is in line with the organisation’s to support womanhood.

Mr. Anicetus also added that ActionAid is a humanitarian organization, which needs to assist a strong ally in person of Obahopo who has supported the SARVE 11 Project over the years after the unfortunate accident became necessary.

Lastly, Anicetus disclosed that ActionAid is an organization that targets the reduction of the suffering of people in an unfortunate situation, particularly that the accident that occurred was not expected or planned for.

Speaking on the donation, Boluwaji Obahopo, thanked ActionAid Nigeria for the support and used the medium to appreciate all those who have been supportive since the unfortunate incident.

It will be recalled that Mr. Boluwaji Obahopo lost five family members in the dasterdly accident that occurred along Kabba- Okene road on their way to Edo state to attend marriage
