Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar on Friday called on security agencies to unravel the mysterious death of a 12-year-old student of Dowen College, Sylvester Oromoni.

Oromoni was alleged to have been beaten to death by fellow students for refusing to join cult.

But the school denied the allegation in a statement, saying the student got injured while playing football.

The controversies surrounding the death of Oromoni led the Lagos State Government to shut down the school on Friday pending investigation.

Reacting to the death of Oromoni, Atiku said justice must be gotten for the deceased.

He said security agencies, government and others must get to the bottom of the case of late Oromoni.

“We shall be failing in our duties as parents/guardians, administrators, security agencies and government if we do not get to the bottom of the case of late Sylvester Oromoni.

“It is beholden upon us to enthrone a safe environment in our schools,” he said.
