Uzodimma receives Kingsley Mbadiwe University certificate from NUC secretary Rasheed

Governor Hope Uzodimma has received a letter of recognition of the Kingsley Mbadiwe University, Ogboko in Imo State from the National University Commission (NUC).

Kingsley Mbadiwe University is the 42nd state-owned university in Nigeria and the 143rd in the country.

The brief handover ceremony took place Wednesday at the NUC office in Abuja.

Prof. Abubakar Adamu Rasheed, executive secretary of the NUC lauded Governor Uzodimma’s doggedness and commitment in the pursuit of quality education for the people Imo State.

Rasheed said: “With effect from Wednesday 8th December 2021, K.O. Mbadiwe University, Ogboko is formally recognised as the 42nd State University and the 143rd University in the Nigerian University System.”

He said Kingsley Mbadiwe University will add to the efforts of government to meet the human capital needs of the State.

Governor Uzodimma thanked the NUC for facilitating issuance of the letter and promised that government will do everything to ensure that the university will be among the sought after higher institutions in the country.
