President Muhammadu Buhari Friday dispatched a high-level delegation, made up of the heads of the nation’s intelligence and security services to Sokoto and Katsina States.
The move was in response to the recent spike in bandit activities.
Of recent the two states have been rocked by mind-boggling criminal attacks.
In Sokoto, terrorists attacked a bus of travelling passengers, shot at it and then set it ablaze, killing 23 passengers.
In Katsina, commissioner of Science and tech, Rabe Nasir was assassinated in his home on Thursday.
Buhari had condemned all the attacks.
He now demands answers and response from his security chiefs.

The delegation is led by the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (Rtd).
In the delegation are the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, the Director-General of the DSS, Yusuf Magaji Bichi.
There are also the Director-General, National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ahmed Rufa’i Abubakar and the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major General Samuel Adebayo.
